We are currently looking for a new bookseller to join the team working in our new independent fantasy bookshop.

Role info
- 3 days a week
- £13.50 per hour
- Rota will include weekend and weekday work *
- Could also include event evenings
Our ideal bookseller
Will have a passion for reading fantasy books and a love to yap. You'll be enthusiastic about recommendations and a welcome face to regulars. You will help create a safe, inclusive and comforting space within the bookshop. You'll be excited about working events and enjoy being part of a small team with a big presence!
Previous retail/bookselling experience is preferred, but not essential.
* Days will likely vary, the rota will be done 1 month in advance. If you have any requirements just note this in your application.
Job description
Responsibilities include:
- Helping customers find their perfect fantasy book.
- Processing in-store customer purchases through the till.
- Packing and processing online customer orders for shipping and collection.
- Receiving and processing new stock deliveries (books and other items)
- Keeping the bookshop clean, tidy and orderly.
- Assisting with event preparation and running.
- + other similar tasks
