The Bookshop
It is with absolute GLEE that I can announce that refnovations for our brick and mortar independent fantasy bookshop in Bebington, Wirral is now back on track! You can expect it to be full of everything you already know and love us for, as well an incredible amount of fantasy books.
After an incredibly successful Kickstarter campaign earlier this year, we raised a total of £25,940 to get this amazing space renovated and ready to be your new favourite indie bookshop!
Thank you to everyone who backed or shared it, or has been patiently waiting along with us this year - we will be making something magical for you!
A sneaky peek
We've been working with our wonderful brand designer Kayleigh to come up with a moodier version of our current colour palette (that we're affectionately naming Paper + Word at midnight).
I thought that the brick and mortar space needed something deeper to give us that cosy and intimate atmosphere in store, and I'm so happy with the results!
Here's a little taste of the shop branding (and a peek of that Kickstarter exclusive tote bag). I can't wait to bring the space to life and welcome you all in!
What to expect
I want the bookshop to feel like you are stepping into a high fae's personal library.
You can expect bookshelves adorned with rolling ladders to reach all the way to our gold star flecked ceilings. Small spaces to perch and peruse the pages and intimate lighting to entice you inside on a rainy day.
We will be the UK's first brick-and-mortar independent fantasy bookshop!
The news has already gone viral on TikTok and we have thousands of bookworms screaming for us to open!
Where to find us
We're currently deep in renovations, so you can't visit us quite yet! When we're done, you can find us at... 20 Church Road, Bebington Village, Wirral, CH63 7PH.
The closest train station is Port Sunlight, a 6min walk away.
There is a bus stop opposite and a free carpark behind us (right next to the library, you lucky thing).
You'll find a host of other small businesses in the village too, including Kraken Comics, Bulwark Games, The Collaboration, Prost and more!
