The Bookshop
In November 2025, after a year of turmoil, our beautiful independent fantasy bookshop finally opened its doors - and the response has been absolutely unbelievable.
We are so honoured that our little bookshop is full of fantasy lovers every single day, perusing the shelves for the next book in the series they're devouring, excitedly stepping into a new world, or seeking a friend as they tiptoe into fantasy for the very first time.
Whether you're a lifelong fantasy reader or have no idea where to start - we can't wait to meet you, and we have a book for you!

What to expect
You will find bookshelves adorned with rolling ladders to reach all the way to our gold star flecked ceilings. Cosy armchairs to perch and peruse the pages and intimate lighting to entice you inside on a rainy day.
We are proud to be the UK's first brick-and-mortar independent fantasy bookshop!
We stock children's fantasy as well as adult, and organise our store by sub-genre's like romantasy, magical realism, high/epic fantasy and dark fantasy.
In 2026 we'll be expanding our indie authors and small publisher ranges too!

Our opening hours are:
Tuesday - Saturday 10-5
Sunday 11-3
The closest train station is Port Sunlight, a 6min walk away.
There is a bus stop opposite and a free carpark behind us (right next to the library, you lucky thing).
You'll find a host of other small businesses in the village too, including Kraken Comics, Bulwark Games, The Collaboration, Prost and more!
